Midwife/ Course Leader

Amina is a qualified NHS midwife who lives in Hertfordshire with her husband and 4 children.

Experience

Over 13 years of experience working in the NHS in midwifery care based in large London teaching hospitals. Alongside my role in the NHS specialising in antenatal care and support, I am the Midwifery Manager at Tommy’s – The Baby charity providing advice, support and care around pregnancy health, wellbeing and expert advice focused on pregnancy and baby loss. 

I have been with Nowbaby since 2019, initially as an antenatal educator and then since 2020 as the course director.  

I am also a board member and educator for Mother Tongue – a voluntary organisation that aims to improve the birth experience of refugees and those experiencing difficulties in the UK through a training network of birth supporters and doulas.
