This course is taught by Midwife Marley Hall, an experienced midwife who has helped countless families bring their babies into the world. Her experience as not only a midwife, but a mother of 5 too, will help prepare you for when you bring yours home.

New mum, new baby – What Is Covered In The Course

You will be given access to 22 lessons including a mixture of videos and practical resources from our experienced midwife. Learn at your own pace, rewatch, revise, revisit whenever you need to.

Course Overview

This course will give you a valuable insight into what to expect in the very early days after having your baby, something that many first time parents aren’t informed enough about! Both you and your baby will go through a number of changes during the postnatal period,also called the fourth trimester, and it’s useful to have an understanding of what these changes are, so that you are prepared and equipped with all the knowledge you need to help you through this time. Learn how to care for both yourself and your baby as you adjust into parenthood.

Course Leader

Marley Hall is an experienced midwife and mother of 5, including twins. Over her 13 years experience as a midwife, she has helped thousands of families adjust to their new life as parents.

What you’ll learn

If you’re wondering what to expect after you’ve had your baby, this course has it covered. Those early days are crucial and it can be confusing to know what to expect with the array of information out there. In this course you will learn what to expect immediately after the birth, newborn checks, postpartum blood loss and other bodily changes, caring for perineal trauma, going home, emotional and mental health, diet and exercise, support at home, caring for your newborn including hygiene (bathing, dressing, changing), jaundice, screening, baby sleep and more.
